I experienced a medical emergency. The Fire Dept and EMS arrived at my home in about 6 minutes and quickly had me on my way to the PLC Trauma Unit.
I wish the people involved could know how much I appreciate what they did for me. They literally did save my life!

Thank you to the paramedics and the first responder who came and made a tense situation and a dangerous situation a lot better. You stayed with my kiddo when she needed help. You let her talk, you let her voice her concerns, you made her feel safe when she wasn’t being safe. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

On the afternoon of October 19, 2025 l had a terrible fall. My collarbone was sticking up, l was sweating and nauseous, but Jen, Kayla and Keira came to my rescue. These 3 paramedics were incredible, they treated me quickly, professionally and with humour. Took me to the hospital and saw me right through to a bed. Wow, can’t say enough!!

Just want to say thankyou to the exceptional paramedic who came and helped me through a bad allergic reaction and what we thought may have been a stroke. Sam used humor to calm the situation and extra caution to make sure I had a good outcome. She made me feel like I was safe and also took time and care to make my daughter felt safe as well.

On Oct 01 at approx 0845, I was taken to the Mis with “soft” signs of a stroke right hand weakness
The paramedic was kind and pofessional. And I thank her very much. I don’t recall her name.
I would like her to know that I did indeed have a cortical stroke. She absolutely did the right thing by taking me to emerge!

I am so grateful for the care, education, and professionalism shown to me by the EMS crew who helped me through a pain crisis and were thoughtful enough to help me plan for future care needs. What started as a very dark day ended with comfort, great conversation, and peace of mind from having a plan.

A HUGE thanks to Maddie and Sasha for their amazing care when I sliced my hand open. They were so kind and professional. They also had great pins on that said “I’m literally just a girl” and that made me feel a bit better in a crappy situation. Thank you both for all of your hard work!!! You’re a great duo and I felt so cared for.

I want to thank the paramedics that picked up my dad on Sept 17 and my mom begged them to take my dad to Royal Alexandra Hospital and not U of A and they did. When my 82 year old dad crashed in the ambulance from his heart attack they saved him and then when he got to Royal Alex the doctor was already waiting to put in a stent. Thank You!

I suffered from a major seizure after a horrible situation, in addition to taking me to the hospital the paramedic made sure my cats had plenty of food and water while I was gone. Edmonton's best paramedics!

In the last two weeks, I have had two occasions to deal with paramedics. I was in a serious car accident on Giroux Dawson in St Albert and the paramedics were wonderful. Today my 91 year old mother fell ill at the Youville and was taken to the hospital. Their care was professional , thoughtful and compassionate. Thank you so very much.
